Did you know that many pregnant women experience pain in the back and pelvic region due to the release of relaxin and it’s effects on loosening ligaments, which creates joint instability.
This effects all joints in the body and continues to be released when breastfeeding too.
It can take upto 5 months for ligaments to return to their original position and stabilise joints, post delivery.
This all has significant implications on physical activity and if you are or want to work with your pregnant client safely you should have a relevant pre and post natal qualification
Do play it safe and always work with clients that you are qualified to help so if you are unsure if your current qualification covers you to teach the pre and post natal client get in touch and we will be happy to have a chat about it
We do also have the Active IQ Level 3 Award in Supporting Pre and Post Natal Clients with Exercise and Nutrition qualification coming up online in April with Linda Salt-Berrymen
If this is something you are interested in doing so that you can safely work with this population group DM us, comment or go to our website for info ... See MoreSee Less
