Course overview:
You may want to specialise in teaching group exercise classes for pregnant women or new mums, teach in the gym or increase your confidence in prescribing safe and effective exercises on a one- one basis. Often women who are expecting or new mums attend classes or gym sessions and will need specific exercises. You need to have the knowledge to adapt your exercise to suit all your clients.
This course will ensure you have the expertise and confidence to give advice and adapt exercises. You will become a skill full and knowledgeable Instructor.
- Unit 1, Physical Activity Health and Nutrition Considerations for Pre and Post Natal Clients
- Unit 2, Programming safe and effective exercise sessions for Pre and Post Natal Clients
Entry requirements:
- You must have a Level 2 qualification in Fitness Instructing, Level 3 qualification in Yoga or Pilates (or equivalent)
What you will learn:
- The anatomical and physiological changes that occur to the body systems as a result of pregnancy
- How to plan an appropriate session
- How to deliver and evaluate ante/post natal exercise practical session, studio or gym
- How to provide appropriate exercise and nutrition advice

- Portfolio of evidence/Case Study
What to do now:
- Complete an online application form, making your deposit or full payment
- You will attend your 2 training days, a mixture of theory and practical, submitting your portfolio in your own time
What you will achieve:
- Active IQ Level 3 Award in Designing Pre and Post Natal Exercise Programmes (QCF)
- CPD Points and Certificate
