Course overview:
The role of a Gym Instructor will include:
- Providing clients with guidance, counselling, and direction on all aspects of fitness
- Designing basic gym programmes for club members
- Showing club members how to use the equipment
- Maintenance of equipment
To become a Personal Trainer you will need to complete this course first.
What you will learn:
- How to programme safe and effective exercise for a range of clients.
- The skills and knowledge required to plan and prepare a gym-based exercise programme with apparently healthy adults – both individuals and groups. This may include young people in the 14-16 age range, provided they are part of a larger adult group.
- Level 2 Anatomy & Physiology for Exercise and Fitness Instructors
- Providing a Positive Customer Experience in the Exercise Environment
- Lifestyle and health Awareness Management
Assessment:
- Multiple Choice theory paper
- Worksheets/Knowledge Questions
- Practical observed assessment

- Your training resources will be sent to you in the post
- You will attend your training days and then return for your assessments.
