Our courses are accredited by YMCA Awards and Active IQ Qualification these are official accreditation units for the European Health and Fitness Association (EHFA) and our courses are also recognised and endorsed by The Register of Exercise Professional (REPs) which means that qualifications are accepted internationally. Both YMCA Awards and Active IQ Qualifications sit on the QCF and are approved through the government via Ofqual and the Sector Skills Council (Skills Active).
The Qualifications and Credit Framework or QCF is the new framework for creating and accrediting qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It replaces the National Qualifications Framework or NQF, which ends in December 2010.
The QCF is a databank for units of learning; each unit is allocated credits (one credit per 10 hours of learning), with units being combined to create qualifications. It also ushers in standardised naming for qualifications to bring consistency and clarity to the new framework.
The names are determined by a qualification’s size:
Courses are delivered through various modes, direct learning, and distant learning. Students have the support of their tutor via online e mail contact, telephone and face to face.
Should face-to-face training be delayed due to government guidelines then our training courses where possible will be taken online via Zoom or on a similar platform. Please see our Coronavirus Policy (on page 11 of our Terms and Conditions) for full details.
