This is a blended learning course, which means you will have days with your tutor and peers, there is also an element of home study, preparation and revision along with tutor and centre support. Practice and session planning is required to be carried out in your own time in between the training days and leading up to assessment.
This course focuses on the considerations for safe and effective exercise and how to plan and adapt exercise for this demographic group. With this course you will learn how to adapt your training methods to the older adult population, this includes the 70+ age group.
This course is delivered online via Zoom in real time with your tutor.
Zoom login details will be sent in an email with your pre course letter approximately 1-2 weeks prior to the course start date.
The aim of this qualification is for the learner to be able to recognise the skills, knowledge and competence needed to work with independently active, older people in an unsupervised manner.
